SELF-ENCOUNTER LISBON

  • Magna Terapias Calçada da Ajuda Lisboa, Lisboa, 1300 Portugal (map)

A Psycho-Physiological Return to your Self, helping you move through Life’s Challenges as Initiations, inviting you deeper into your Body, your Path, and your Full Experience of Life.

In the journey of life, we walk what the Hopi call the labyrinth of emergence & Carl Gustav Jung Called Individuation—a spiral path where we are asked, again and again, to meet ourselves more truly.

This path is not linear. It bends and turns, offering lessons through the terrain of our body, our relationships, our emotions, and the patterns we carry. The challenges that arise—symptoms, restlessness, the urge to change, the call for a new home or deeper love—are not random. They are invitations. Signals that something within us is ready to shift.

A Self-Encounter is a way to listen. To attune to the unique language of your path.

  • A Self-Encounter, based on IOPT (Identity Oriented Psychotrauma Therapy), is a therapeutic approach rooted in the understanding that we each have an Essential I—a stable, inner presence that exists beyond trauma, roles, and adaptations.

Many of us lose touch with this core part of ourselves early on—not necessarily through dramatic events, but through subtle, repeated experiences of disconnection, confusion, or unmet needs.

To survive what was too much or too little, the psyche adapts and splits. These splits create inner parts that carry pain, beliefs, fears, and ways of being that no longer serve us but have never been fully witnessed. They often show up as anxiety, relational patterns, physical symptoms, chronic doubt, or a sense of not fully being present.

The Self-Encounter Process provides space to reconnect with these inner parts, feel what they hold, and allow what has been frozen or fragmented to come back into connection.

  • You bring a question or theme that feels alive in your life. Together, we explore the inner responses connected to it—revealing the deeper roots behind your current challenges. Through the wisdom of the body, we uncover what’s held beneath the surface, clarifying what’s ready to shift, and allowing for greater ease and presence.

The process may bring up early relational wounding, inherited systemic patterns, or frozen states that were once too overwhelming to feel. As these parts are seen, felt, and welcomed, something shifts, creating inner space and opening new pathways for change.

After the session, tea and time to land and integrate are provided. Each participant’s emotional process is held with care and reverence, ensuring you have the space to fully absorb the experience.

  • Not at all. You can join as a participant, supporting others in their session. Even without sharing your own theme, the experience often reveals something meaningful for you. It’s a powerful and insightful way to begin this work.

  • If something feels off or you're at a turning point, this work meets you there, helping you uncover what’s really going on and what’s ready to shift.

    This is for you if...

You’ve done the work—but something still feels just out of reach.
You long for clarity in your relationships, your path, your body.
You want to live from your own rhythm, not someone else’s map.
You’re ready to release what doesn’t belong to you—patterns, roles, inherited pain.
You feel the pull toward something more rooted, more sensual, more meaningful.
You want to feel connected to life—its depth, its beauty, its intimacy.
You want all parts of yourself to remember : I exist. I am here. I am whole.

    • A sense of clarity around a longstanding emotional pattern

    • A release of tension held in the body

    • More inner coherence—less fragmentation or confusion

    • A quieting of thoughts or behaviors that once felt compulsive

    • A deepening into one’s own presence and perception

    • A soft return to self

This work does not aim to fix. It meets what is here. And from that meeting, change happens—not through effort, but through recognition.

  • Avoid stimulants like caffeine and sugar before your session to allow for more openness. Have a light breakfast and lunch, and make sure to drink water before and after the session.

Please do not use drugs or alcohol 48 hours prior to or during the session.

Note: This is not suitable for those in acute medical care.

Disclaimer: This is not medical advice and does not replace professional care. For integration support afterward, feel free to reach out.

Sessions are open to those who have already done some inner work and are ready to explore from a place of depth and inner listening. Whether you're familiar with systemic constellations, somatic therapy, or trauma-informed processes, this space will meet you where you are and guide you to a new layer of inner intimacy.

If you're new to this kind of work, don't worry—this offering is deep, yet simple, and we move at a pace that honors your journey.

The space is held with confidentiality and deep respect for each person’s unique experience.
